Some of Israel’s closest allies have condemned comments made by Minister Bezalel Smotrich about letting two million Palestinians die of hunger.
Smotrich claimed it might be justified and moral to let them starve until Israeli captives are returned. Those comments have been heavily criticised by the US, UK and European Union on Thursday.
