Hamas says it has accepted an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal to halt seven-month war with Israel. It issued a statement Monday saying its supreme leader, Ismail Haniyeh, had delivered the news in a phone call with Qatar’s prime minister and Egypt’s intelligence minister.
3 Phase plan
Transfer of captives to be carried out during the three phases.
Phase 1
42 day ceasefire. Includes a right of return for Palestinians to the north.
Phase 2
42 day extension and a commitment to permanant ceasefire and an end to military operations.
Phase 3
Includes a complete end of blocade of 17 years.
Jo Biden is committed to the implementation of the agreement.
Netanyahu does not want a permanant ceasefire but a sustained quiet.
Biden has the incentive to end the war as he is at risk of loosing the election in 6 months.
Netayah has the incentive to continue the war to keep his position.
Either way Netanyahu is finished.
